Sacramento motels, hotels fill up with evacuees

MIKE TESELLE IS LIVE IN SACRAMENTO WHERE SOME ARE WAITING UNTIL IT IS SAFE TO RETURN HOME.>>WE’VE TALKED A LOT ABOUT THE EVACUATION CENTER SET UP. ANOTHER DIRECT IMPACT, HOTELS THROUGH THE AREA. THIS IS RIGHT OFF BY FIVE. IF YOU ARE SCRAMBLING TO GET TO SACRAMENTO THIS IS ONE OF THE AREAS WHERE YOU GET TO WITH A STRING OF HOTELS OR MOTELS RIGHT OFF THE FREEWAY AND THIS MORNING THIS IS INDICATIVE OF MULTIPLE HOTELS. A PACKED PARKING LOT. A LOT OF PEOPLE CAME IN HIS WALK-INS YESTERDAY. RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, THE MANAGER SAID IT IS COMPLETELY FULL. RIGHT NEXT TO THAT IS THE COMFORT SUITES AND A TALK TO THE MAN WHO SAID THEY HAD AN UNUSUAL NUMBER OF WALK-INS. ALSO TALKED TO A GENTLEMAN GETTING SOME GAS AND THE DOGS OUT AND HE SAID THEY KNOCKED ON HIS DOOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES AGO AND TOLD H TO LEAVE THE YUBA CITY AREA SO HE IS FIGURING OUT WHERE TO GO AS SEVERAL THESE HOTELS ARE BOOKED THIS MORNING. OTHERS HAVE LIMITED SPACE. ALL OF IT UNUSUAL FOR A MONDAY MORNING BECAUSE THEY USUALLY DO NOT HAVE THIS MANY ROOMS FILLED GOING IN TO A WORK WEEK THAT DOESN’T HAVE ANYTHING UNUSUAL HAPPENING. JUST INDICATIVE OF THE SHEER NUMBER OF PEOPLE LIKE OF ACT WITH THE LAST-MINUTE. FOR MANY THIS WAS WHETHER FIRST EXITS.
