    cool solar plane! would love to see a plane like this with (our) flexible solar foils. They are not as powerful as silicon cells, but flexible, and lightweight, and could potentially be used as the wing foil itself. Check it out www.infinityPV.com

    Bonjour, beaucoup d'engagement pour un résultat magnifique, bravo. Je n'y connais rien en avion solaire et ne m'en voulez pas de dire certainement une bêtise, vous parlez de MPPT et celui que vous citez pèse 185g pour charger la batterie, j'imagine que la batterie se vide plus vite qu'elle se remplit car il y a des pertes. Pourquoi ne pas envoyez le courant directement au moteur, la batterie serait donc moins sollicitée. Il faudrait un mécanisme qui permette donc une double alimentation du moteur. Une sorte d'hybride.J'ai un parrot disco et si j'avais votre talent, j'aimerai bien installer des panneaux solaires solides ou flexibles (même si petit rendement) pour voir dans quelle mesure ça peut allonger la durée de vol mais il faudrait une installation qui pèse pas plus de 100g

    VERY cool! What was it that limited your flight to 6:50 hours? Also, an idea: perhaps a Bi-plane glider is a good idea in order to increase your surface area to install more solar panels?

    OR— a flying wing? Certainly, the flying wing wins for maximum surface area for panels.

    I believe this technology will improve, perhaps enough to have a pilot occupying the craft, and without batteries, or a very small emergency battery pack in case of reduced sunlight.

    OR– It could be the future to have a battery powered craft with solar panels to increase range.

    Still, the very ultimate would be battery-less, fully capable solar powered craft, capable of incredibly long range as long as there is sunlight.

    "limited knowledge"? I'd say more like "smarter than the average bear". Well done!

    Le top serait d'utiliser un modem GSM 3G/4G à bord pour transférer les infos en DATA et ainsi s'affranchir de la limitation de la distance imposée par la technologie de la télécommande que vous utilisez.
