Thank you for posting! Would love to hear what you think of the Andaz in Maui. Worth the price?

Eric thank you for all of the great info, we are planning our fist trip to Maui and have been watching your channel a lot!! I have a question, do you still recommend making sure condos have A/C even in September? I have reserved a condo for a week at Valley Isle and it does not have A/C. Do you think I should cancel and look for another unit?

    Thanks!  Bill

It’s Napili or bust for us. Napili point and Napili Kai make you feel like king of the island

Looking at Google Earth views, the Grand Wailea looks like an absolute stunner with that pool, beach access, and acreage. At $500 a night, it looks like you can get more value from that than from other hotels priced the same.

If I'm looking for a beach side hotel with best sunset and turtles where do u recommend

  15. Mahalo Guy says:

Sheraton Maui. Once they upgraded to the corner suite on the cliff for us without extra cost!

I always go to the West side and get a condo with a good price. Never had Air Conditioning in Hawaii, always depended on the trades and ceiling fans. When the trades are blowing go to Longs and buy a fan for under $20.00 and when ready to leave give it to a friend or a local. Get a moderate condo and with the money You save is more food and beer money. The only thing in My refridge is water and pineapple and beer.

We use Marriott points and have stayed at the Marriott Wailea three times. It’s not the absolute best, but it’s nice and affordable.

We just got back last week from our first ever trip to Hawaii. We were gifted with a stay at the Westin Kaanapali. I am not sure if they are condos or apartments, but it was extremely nice there and we enjoyed our time there very much. It was on a very beautiful beach. It is good to know other places because if we come again, which we want to, I doubt we will get another free stay.

Kapulua Montage outstanding and love the beach. Favorite restaurant Merriman's next door. I stay at Ka'annapoli Beach Club timeshare but good to know about the other one. I am looking to for a short term rental house for about 2 – 3 months. Any suggestions on websites?

201911 stayed 10 nights Aston Kaanapali shores in a studio, room was ok but bed was rough. Also would not stop at COSTCO again, we dumped 2 bottles of alcohol and wasted alot of food we thought we would eat. we ate out alot more than we planned….so delicious. Hope to come back again soon.
